Fast, Certified Suspension for Fire Rated Applications

Our Fire Rated Hanger is a fast, certified solution for suspending HVAC, mechanical and electrical services in fire-rated applications. Designed with fewer components than traditional methods, it installs up to six times faster and reduces on-site complexity. Tested to F120 in line with BS EN 1363-1:2020, it delivers proven fire performance, with full certification available in the Gripple Fire Rated Product Matrix.

Lightweight yet strong, the hanger conforms to DW144 and requires no tools or ‘hot works’ permit for installation, improving health and safety on site. Simple adjustment with the supplied Setting Key reduces time spent working at height, while its clean, discreet design suits both enclosed and open soffit spaces.

Step 1: Feed the fused end of your wire into one of the Fire Rated Hanger wire entry holes.
Step 2: This grips and locks the wire in place.
Step 3: Pull through enough wire to create a loop around the object or service you are looking to suspend.
Step 4: Feed the wire back through the other entry hole to create a suspension loop, leaving at least 100mm of tail wire.
Step 5: Adjust using the supplied release key as needed.

Our hangers have been tested to F120 in accordance with the temperature curve of BS EN 1363-1:2020 and meet the direct-fix spacing requirements of BS7671:2018 (see the Fire Rated Product Matrix for full certification details).

Use it for HVAC ductwork and ventilation, mechanical pipework, electrical containment, sprinkler pipework and ceiling/soffit installations — ideal wherever a fire-rated suspension is required. The full kits supplied with the Fire Rated hanger come complete with tested end fixings and wire to support the installation.

We offer two variants: No.2 (45 kg load rating, 5:1 safety factor) and No.3 (90 kg load rating, 5:1 safety factor).

Installation is up to six times faster than traditional suspension methods thanks to fewer components and a simple drill-and-fit process.
