The Frosty Ridge Orchard spans 22 acres and grows Aztec Fuji Apples. There is 48 ft. spacing between V-Posts, which caused bowing of the trellis wires under the heavy load of the apple crop. To keep line wires closer together and maintain uniformity in their V-trellis, Gripple T-Clips were used horizontally to connect the line wires at the halfway point between line posts. The alternative would have been to install another V-Post at the mid-point. Using Gripple T-Clips instead of adding additional line posts saved the grower thousands of dollars in material and labor costs.

Gripple products used for this application were: 3,000 T-Clip fasteners, which were used to secure and bring together the line wires of an existing V-Trellising system.

The Gripple T‑Clips were easy to install and delivered immediate results. They kept our trellis wires aligned under heavy apple loads and allowed us to avoid extra posts, reducing both installation time and overall project costs.
