IKEA purchased and renovated an old building in the financial capital, Mumbai. The building is now a prominent two-story IKEA store.

A Gripple solution was utilised for elliptical ductwork throughout the open ceiling on both floors of the building. Because of this, the aesthetic mattered greatly. The clean, simplicity of wire rope fit the look perfectly
whilst also meeting a requirement – no drilling.

Even though the ceiling was an RCC slab, the structure was old and drilling was not permitted. By utilising the loop end fixing with an arrangement of horizontal beams made on site, KD building services were able to suspend all services within the time frame and save over 400 hours on site
