Gripple Seismic Restraints and Vibration Isolators were used during this project to brace and stabilise mechanical plumbing and medical gas piping. These Gripple products were used in place of the more traditional and less efficient method of using threaded rod, strut and rigid bracing. Gripple products allowed for a one man crew to install, whereas traditional rod stiffening would have taken a crew of three men. With no on-site cutting, Gripple products were safer and produced less waste than the traditional cutting of threaded rod and strut. The contractor on this project, Joe Kelly, had never used Gripple products prior to this project. Joe Kelly stated, “I found it to be fast and easy, simple and versatile”.
