How it works:

Installing the TecLoc Rod Stiffener Clip is quick and straightforward by following these simple steps. For full technical specification, download our technical data pack:

TecLoc Rod Stiffener Technical Data Pack (CAN-EN)

Step 1. Position the Universal Bracket or strut around the rod, keeping the rod in the corner.

Step 2. Insert the Rod Stiffener Clip into the bracket or strut.

Step 3. Rotate to lock it into place.

Step 4. Tighten the bolt with an impact driver.

Step 5. Add extra clips as needed and tighten.

How do I get this listed in my engineering submittal?

Find out the engineering partner and provide the details to get into their submittals. Often specifies ‘or similar’ on product solutions, so this may be a sensible workaround in the short term.

I don’t understand seismic, so how do I know I need to stiffen the drops?

This will be handled during the engineering, and you would then be advised which drops are seismic and which then need stiffening. At Gripple, we only indicate the drops that require this and don’t offer it as standard.
